The rigid kydex provides consistent trigger guard coverage and audible/tactile feedback when the gun is fully seated.

Off-body draw strokes differ from holster draws. You're managing a zipper or flap, positioning the bag, and extracting the gun, all while potentially moving or under stress. Without practice, this takes 5-8 seconds. With practice, you can get it under 3 seconds.

Practice with an unloaded gun (triple-check). Run the sequence 100+ times until it's automatic. Then practice from different positions: sitting, walking, getting out of a car. Mark your zippers with paracord or ranger bands so you can find them by feel.
