Faxon Firearms Match Series AR-10 Threaded Barrel, 8.6 Blackout, 16 inch, Flame Fluted, Carbine Length, 1-3 Twist, M18x1.5 RH, Salt Bath Nitride, Black, 10B863C16LMQ-5R-NP3
The Faxon Match Series 16" 8.6 Blackout barrel is the no-NFA length for building a semi-auto 8.6 AR-10. At 16 inches it clears the federal rifle barrel minimum, so the finished rifle needs no SBR paperwork. It carries the 1:3 twist that defines the cartridge, the extreme rate required to stabilize long, heavy .338-caliber subsonic projectiles at velocities below the sound barrier.
8.6 Blackout drops into a standard AR-10/DPMS-pattern build. It uses the conventional .308 bolt face, so you do not need a dedicated bolt the way .338 ARC requires a 6.5 Grendel Type 2 bolt. Pair this barrel with a large-frame upper, a standard .308 BCG, a carbine-length gas system, and an SR-25 magazine pattern and the build runs.
The barrel is salt bath nitride finished with 5R rifling. The muzzle is threaded M18x1.5, which is Faxon's 8.6 convention and differs from the 5/8x24 that Ballistic Advantage uses on its 8.6 barrels. Confirm your suppressor mount or muzzle device matches M18x1.5, and remember the bullet is .338 inches, so a .30-caliber suppressor is not rated for it; thread on a .338-rated can like the SilencerCo Hybrid 46M.
Add the Faxon Match Series 16" 1:3 8.6 Blackout AR-10 Barrel to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
