First Spear
$78.84 for a Berry-compliant chest rig with First Spear 6/12 laminate construction. Reversible front panel (rig on one side, low-vis admin on the other) plus access to the broader 6/12 pouch ecosystem.
The First Spear Reversible Modular Chest Rig 6/12 puts First Spear's premium laminate construction in budget territory at $78.84. The rig itself is a chassis: it has the 6/12 MOLLE pattern laser-cut into laminate fabric on one side and a low-vis admin panel on the other. Reverse the panel and you have a chest rig; reverse it again and you have a flat admin/low-vis layer.
The 6/12 system is First Spear's proprietary alternative to standard MOLLE. The laser-cut laminate creates a thinner, lighter, more durable mounting platform than woven MOLLE webbing, and a wide range of 6/12-compatible pouches exists from First Spear and from third-party makers like Spiritus Systems (which makes 6/12-compatible Ten-Speed pouches). The 6/12 pouches use a tuck-fold mounting method that produces a tighter pouch-to-platform interface than weave-and-snap MOLLE.
The trade-off at this price is that the rig ships barebones. There are no included magazine pouches, no harness, no admin pockets. Budget an additional $50-80 for a 6/12-compatible H or X harness and $20-30 per mag pouch (or third-party Ten-Speed pouches in 6/12 format). The folded chest rig is small enough to drop into a go-bag for grab-and-deploy use.
The First Spear lineup also includes the JOKER chest rig, the Fight Panel with X-Strap, the Modular Fight Strap, and the Modular Chest Rig 6/12 for buyers who need more capacity or more permanent rig configurations.
Add the Reversible Modular Chest Rig 6/12 to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
