The black-nitride regulator body and electroless-nickel-coated piston reduce friction and carbon buildup compared to the factory finish. The regulator knob has strategically placed cutouts that allow it to be hand-rotated or leveraged with a loose 5.56 or 7.62 round, eliminating the need for a tool when switching between suppressed and unsuppressed positions in the field.
Position behavior: low setting for suppressed shooting or high-pressure ammunition, medium for standard commercial loads, high for steel-case ammo or heavily fouled actions. Compatible with HBI Gen 2 handguards and factory handguards. NOT compatible with HBI Gen 1 handguards. Gunsmith installation is recommended due to the precision fit.
