Overview

The F.L.I. (Fast Latch Integrated) Goggle Harness solves a specific problem: an FPV drone goggle and a night vision device both want the front of the helmet, and only one of them fits on the shroud. Adaptiv Defense routes around the conflict by mounting the goggle to the helmet's side ARC rails through a pair of Fidlock magnetic connectors. The shroud stays empty for a PVS-14, a binocular, or nothing at all.

The kit replaces the stock elastic strap that ships on most FPV goggles. Two ARC rail mounts carry the Fidlock halves; the goggle side attaches through standard 3/4 inch webbing, and Adaptiv Defense lists compatibility with most systems using that strap width. Because the connection is magnetic rather than buckled, the goggle comes on and off with one hand and without breaking the helmet's fit. A neckband safety strap catches the goggle when it is released, so it hangs on the chest instead of dropping while the operator goes back to a controller or a rifle.

Two extras round out the kit. A standalone padded headband uses the same Fidlock attachment points, so the same goggle moves from helmet to bare head without re-rigging. A lens cover with adhesive hook and loop protects the OLED panels used in higher-end goggles from direct sunlight, which is the standard failure mode for an unattended goggle left facing the sky. At $140 the F.L.I. undercuts shroud-mounted alternatives such as the Beez Combat Systems FGM at $259.99, which uses a Wilcox dovetail and therefore competes with night vision for the same real estate.

Key Features

  • Fidlock magnetic connectors for one-handed attach and detach
  • Mounts to helmet ARC rails, leaving the NVG shroud open
  • Fits FPV goggles using standard 3/4 inch webbing
  • Neckband safety strap retains the goggle on the chest when released
  • Standalone padded headband shares the same Fidlock attachment points
  • Lens cover with adhesive hook and loop for OLED sun protection
  • Kit includes 2x ARC rail mounts

Pros

  • +Keeps the shroud free so night vision and an FPV goggle coexist on one helmet
  • +Magnetic release is faster and quieter than pulling an elastic strap over a helmet
  • +Included headband covers no-helmet use without buying a second harness
  • +Webbing-based interface fits most goggles rather than a short model list
  • +$140 is well under shroud-mounted dovetail alternatives

Cons

  • Requires a helmet with ARC rails; no shroud-only or bare-bump option
  • Goggles with a molded non-removable strap will not accept the 3/4 inch interface
  • Only two colorways, Black and MultiCam, with no solid tan or ranger green option
  • Adaptiv Defense does not publish a harness weight
  • Side-rail mounting occupies rail space that lights, counterweights, and comms arms also want
