Bushnell
Sub-$1,000 FFP precision scope with 34mm tube, ED Prime glass, 100 MOA elevation, locking turrets, and the DM2 or G5i illuminated reticle.
The Match Pro ED 5-30x56 FFP is the Bushnell answer to shooters who want a 34mm-tube precision scope without paying $1,500. ED Prime glass with Ultra Wide Band coating keeps the image clean at 30x, the locking elevation and windage turrets resist field bumps, and the Easy Set zero stop returns reliably after dialing big elevation. At 32 ounces it is in the same weight class as a Viper PST Gen II, but the 100 MOA elevation budget and 56mm objective give it more reach and more low-light capability.
Two reticle paths: the DM2 in MOA (1 MOA tree with floating dot) and the G5i in MRAD. Both are FFP, both are illuminated, and both stretch deep enough to support holds past 1,000 yards without dialing. The 2-stage Rev-Indicator helps avoid the classic FFP scope mistake of dialing one revolution past where you meant to go.
This is the scope to buy when the Arken EP-5 leaves you wanting better glass and locking turrets, but the Razor HD Gen III is too expensive. It is also the strongest sub-$1,000 pick for a heavy-barrel .308 or 6mm Creedmoor that will see a lot of dial-and-shoot work.
