KNS Precision
Spring-loaded push-button takedown pin: internal keeper pins lock it without the receiver detent and retract for one-finger, tool-free removal.
KNS Precision's push-button pin is a different engineering answer to the same problem. Instead of just enlarging the head, KNS swaps the receiver detent for an internal keeper. A spring-loaded button on the head retracts internal stainless keeper pins; press the button and the pin slides out by hand, release it and the keepers lock the pin positively in place. That positive lockup means the pin will not creep loose under recoil the way a worn detent lets a pin walk, and removal takes one finger instead of a punch or bullet tip.
The enhanced PBTD250-EN adds an end cap that eases removal and reinstallation and keeps grit out of the internal mechanism. The .250-inch body is a direct mil-spec replacement; KNS also sells a matching .250 push-button pivot pin (PBPIVOT250-EN) if you want the push-button treatment on both ends, plus a fully stainless version and .315 oversize variants for worn or large-pin receivers.
This is the pick for shooters who break their rifle down constantly, who run a quick-detach optic and clean in the field, or who are tired of fighting a flush detent-retained pin. The tradeoff versus a plain enhanced pin is cost and a slightly taller, more mechanical head. The pin still removes fully, so it is not captive to the receiver and can be misplaced like any pin. It is one pin, not a set, so budget for a second part if you want the pivot pin to match.
