The KE Arms KP-15 is a monolithic polymer AR-15 lower with the buttstock, buffer tube, pistol grip, and trigger guard molded into one piece from 30% glass-filled nylon. It is the production version of the WWSD (What Would Stoner Do) project lower designed by Karl Kasarda and Ian McCollum at InRangeTV, intended as a serious lightweight alternative to forged aluminum receivers.
The receiver accepts standard AR-15 lower parts kits, mil-spec trigger groups (.154" pins), and standard upper receivers and bolt carrier groups. There is no separate buffer tube to install: the buffer ride is integral, and the stripped lower uses a carbine buffer and spring. The A1-length 13-inch length of pull is fixed and slightly shorter than a collapsed M4 stock, which most shooters find faster to mount and shoot from a low-ready. M-LOK slots in the stock area accept QD sling cups, and the flared magwell speeds reloads without needing a magwell add-on.
The polymer construction has been tested through 50,000+ rounds in the WWSD project rifles without structural failure, but the lower is not duty-rated against impact like 7075 forgings. The right buyer is someone building an ultralight recreational rifle, someone who specifically wants the WWSD aesthetic, or anyone who wants to put together a working AR for the cost of two PSA Stealth lowers. The wrong buyer is someone planning to clear rooms, drop the rifle from a vehicle, or run an adjustable stock for body armor LOP changes.
