Magpul D-60 Drum Magazine

The Magpul PMAG D-60 represents a mature drum magazine design, delivering a reliable high-capacity option for AR-15 pattern rifles. Unlike older drum magazines with more complicated loading procedures, the D-60 uses Magpul's Gen M3 feed tower layout and a ratcheting loading lever that reduces loading effort.

The D-60 packs 60 rounds into a surprisingly compact drum configuration that keeps the overall height manageable for prone shooting and storage. The unique design features a clear window on the rear of the drum for instant capacity checks, along with Magpul's signature paint pen dot matrix for identification. The ratcheting loading lever takes tension off the spring during loading, making it possible to fully load the magazine without special tools or excessive hand fatigue.

While heavier and more expensive than standard magazines, the D-60 provides a practical advantage in range, match, and training setups where sustained strings of fire and fewer reloads are priorities.
