Magpul PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3

The Magpul PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3 is the lower-profile sibling to the PMAG 25, designed for shooters who prioritize prone position clearance and bench fitment over capacity. It uses identical SR-25 / DPMS Gen 1 fitment, the same steel-reinforced feed lips, and the same four-way anti-tilt follower as the 25-round version.

For DMR work, precision rifle competition, and any setup where you regularly shoot prone off a bipod, the 20-round body is roughly an inch shorter than the 25-round body. That extra clearance prevents the magazine from forcing the rifle into an awkward elevated angle, which matters more than capacity in those roles.

Most AR-10 owners run a mix: PMAG 25s in tactical and range loadouts, PMAG 20s in DMR and precision setups. At the same $22 price point, picking the right capacity for the role costs nothing.
