BadAce Tactical
No-drill forward scout rail for the SKS that fits every variant, including the Yugo 59/66, with a removable Picatinny top.
Where the Matador rail asks you to give up the rear sight and commits the optic to the dust-cover position, the BadAce scout mount takes the opposite approach: it mounts forward without drilling, tapping, or any permanent modification to the rifle. That makes it the answer for SKS owners who want a long-eye-relief scope or a red dot but do not want to alter a surplus rifle, and for the variants that proprietary receiver-cover rails skip.
Compatibility is the headline. BadAce lists fitment across all SKS variants, including the Russian, Chinese, Romanian, and the Yugoslavian Model 59/66, which many SKS optic mounts cannot accommodate because of the Yugo's grenade-launcher sight and different cover geometry. The Picatinny rail is forward-mounted and removable, and it can be flipped to change positioning. A removable spring-steel shell deflector keeps ejected brass off the optic; pull the deflector and you can reposition for stripper-clip loading with certain red dots.
The forward scout position is a deliberate tradeoff. A long-eye-relief optic mounted ahead of the action keeps the loading path clearer than a receiver-bridge scope and preserves more of the rifle's handling, at the cost of running a true scout-style optic rather than a conventional-eye-relief scope. For a no-permanent-modification SKS optic solution that fits everything, this is the mount.
