Overview
The Scalarworks LEAP/08 SW0815 is the 1.57-inch version of the company's next-generation 30mm quick-detach scope mount. It holds the optic at a conventional carbine height while keeping the complete mount to 5.68 ounces. Its cantilevered body fits MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails and carries a 30mm scope at 0 MOA.
Two ClickDrive clamps secure the base to the rail. Each low-profile wheel can be tightened or released without a separate lever, and the paired clamps spread the load across the mount. Scalarworks also changed the ring system. The No-Gap design closes the upper ring halves against the base, giving the installer a visible stop instead of two gaps to balance by eye.
The included LevelDrive tool threads into the mount body and presses against the flat base of a compatible scope. It squares the scope to the mount before the ring screws are tightened. The mount also accepts Scalarworks KICK accessories for a supported secondary red dot above or beside the LPVO.
