Overview
The KAK Industry Slimline Flash Can is a linear muzzle device: a closed aluminum sleeve that collects muzzle blast and sends it forward out the front, instead of letting it spread sideways toward the shooter and anyone on the next bench. KAK is explicit that it is not built to reduce muzzle rise or flash signature, so it belongs on a rifle where concussion at the firing line is the problem.
The Slimline is 3.25 inches long, 1.2 inches in diameter, and 3.42 ounces, machined in house from 6061 aluminum with a black hard-anodized finish. The narrow body is meant to slide inside a handguard for a shorter overall package, and milled wrench flats make installation straightforward. A crush washer is not included.
On the 1/2x28 version, KAK lists bore clearance for 9mm or smaller, so it fits 5.56 and .300 Blackout AR-15s as well as 9mm carbines. It offers no suppressor mount, so a shooter planning to add a can should choose a QD muzzle device such as a KAK Plan B instead.
