Game Changer Compensator (.22LR)

The Game Changer is the compensator most rimfire competitors bolt on first, and it is priced low enough that it usually goes on before the trigger. TANDEMKROSS built it specifically around the .22LR gas signature: instead of ringing the body with vent holes, it uses directed ports on the top and side, which puts the limited gas volume of a rimfire round where it actually counters muzzle rise. The body is T6061 aluminum, one inch in outside diameter, 1.75 inches long, and 1.23 ounces on the scale.

Installation is a thread-on job with no permanent modification. The comp ships with both a flat washer and an o-ring so it can be timed to a specific clock position and snugged without a crush washer. TANDEMKROSS calls for the flat washer plus o-ring order on guns that run a thread adapter, which covers the TaurusTX 22, Walther P22, and Ruger SR22; on a fixed barrel thicker than .800 inches the flat washer usually is not needed.

Fitment is broad but not universal. The supported list covers the Ruger Mark III and Mark III 22/45, the Mark IV Tactical and Mark IV 22/45 Tactical and LITE, the Ruger 10/22, the 22 Charger, Ruger Precision Rimfire, TaurusTX 22, Walther P22, S&W SW22 Victory, the M&P22 Compact and M&P 15-22 pistol and rifle, the Kel-Tec CP33 and CMR30, and GSG/SIG 1911-22 pistols with a thread adapter. It is rated for .22LR only, so shooters running 5.7x28mm or .17 HMR need the steel Game Changer PRO or the Steam Demon instead.
