Overview
The Gideon Optics Valor Mini Gen 6 is a direct-mount enclosed red dot for the Glock 17, Glock 19, and Glock 45 Gen 6 Optic Ready System. It bolts to the factory slide without one of Glock's polymer ORS adapter plates. That removes one interface from the mounting stack and keeps the optic on a 3.2mm deck, while the sealed housing protects the emitter from sweat, rain, dust, and holster debris. It does not fit the Glock 43X or 48 MOS.
The sight uses a single 3 MOA dot in red or green behind a 20.5mm-wide by 16mm-tall window. Ten manual brightness settings split into eight daylight and two night-vision levels. Motion activation puts the dot to sleep after about 225 seconds without movement and restores the previous brightness as soon as the pistol moves. Holding the plus button locks the controls against accidental changes in a holster.
A side-loading CR1620 tray lets the battery come out without removing the optic or disturbing zero. Elevation and windage each provide 35 MOA of travel with 1.5 MOA clicks. Gideon rates the housing to 1,500 G and IPX7, which means one meter of water for 30 minutes. Overall dimensions are 48.2 x 25 x 26mm, and weight is 1.07 oz with the battery installed. Gideon lists a September 4, 2026 launch and lifetime coverage against manufacturing defects and accidental breakage under normal use.
