Overview

The Osight S is the rechargeable, magnetic-charging-cover sibling of the SE on the RMSc footprint. It uses Osight's OAL alloy, a proprietary 7075 derivative the company markets as tougher than standard 7075 at the same weight, fully enclosed in an IPX7-sealed housing. The reticle is a switchable 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or both, giving the same dot-plus-circle versatility as the SE MRS.

Power is the differentiator. The optic carries a built-in 46 mAh rechargeable Li-Po cell and snaps a magnetic charging cover with its own 220 mAh power bank onto the top of the housing for top-ups. Osight rates runtime between 21,900 and 87,600 hours depending on brightness, with brightness level 3 cited as the daylight default. The cover also serves as a battery indicator. Optic weight is 0.97 oz; with the cover attached the package adds about 1.16 oz.

Footprint is Shield RMSc, fitting the SIG P365 family, Glock 43X/48 MOS, and other slim optics-ready slides. The S sits between the SE ($199.99 with replaceable CR1620) and the XR ($299.99 RMR-footprint flagship) at $249.99, aimed at shooters who want the rechargeable convenience of the XR on a P365-class slide. Tradeoff: as with all rechargeable optics there is no off-the-shelf field swap option if the cell degrades, and the magnetic cover adds a small amount of bulk relative to the slim SE profile.
