Overview

The Osight SE DPP puts an enclosed emitter on the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro slide cut, a footprint that has been dominated by open-emitter optics since Leupold introduced it. The enclosed field on this cut is short, and the SE DPP is the cheapest member of it, undercutting the Holosun SCS-320-GR and the Vortex Defender-ST Enclosed Solar. The SE DPP mounts directly to DPP-cut slides with no adapter plate.

The window is the headline number. At 0.91 x 0.71 inches it is 10 percent wider and roughly 29 percent taller than the 0.83 x 0.55 inch window on the RMSc-footprint Osight SE, which makes the dot easier to find on the draw and easier to track through recoil. Reticle is a switchable 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or both, driven by tactile side buttons across 8 daylight and 2 night-vision brightness levels. Motion Activation Technology wakes the optic on movement and powers it down after 3 minutes of inactivity.

Construction is CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum with IPX7 sealing and a side-loading CR1620 tray that swaps cells without pulling the optic off the slide or losing zero. Osight rates runtime at up to 75,000 hours on the dot-only setting. Adjustments are 1 MOA per click with plus or minus 35 MOA of travel. At 1.34 oz it is heavier than the 0.97 oz RMSc SE, which is the cost of the larger window and the wider DPP base. The warranty is lifetime and transferable with no receipt requirement. The tradeoffs are a short brand track record next to Leupold or Trijicon, IPX7 sealing rather than an IP68 rating, and a red-only reticle with no green option at launch.
