Crye Precision
Crye's structural ultralight. AirLite laminate carrier with JPC-class weight plus the load-bearing architecture of the AVS and CPC, built around the same removable front flap ecosystem.
The AirLite SPC is Crye's answer to a gap in its own lineup: JPC-class weight with AVS-class structure. The chassis is cut from AirLite, Crye's laminate that sheds water and holds shape without foam padding, and the whole system comes in at just over a pound by Crye's figure, with the front flap and cummerbund each sold separately. Continuous 3D mesh interior panels handle ventilation, and vertical adjustment slots in the rear let the cummerbund ride at multiple heights.
The structural half of the name is the point. The SPC pairs with Crye's Airlite Structural Cummerbund, which accepts pouches on both its inside and outside faces, and it is compatible with the Extendable StKSS, which transfers plate weight off the shoulders and onto the hips. Quick-attach side loops take add-on ballistic coverage, groin protection attaches directly, and loops on the shoulder straps support small packs like the AVS 1000. The structural cummerbund pairing and StKSS load transfer are what a bare JPC 2.0 does not offer.
The front face runs the same removable flap ecosystem as the JPC 2.0 and AVS, so a Detachable Flap, M4 Flap, or Cobra Flap moves between carriers. Vertical webbing loops on the front also support detachable chest rigs, and two-step emergency doffing is built in. Sizing follows Crye's standard SAPI plate table from Small through XLarge.
Add the AirLite SPC to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
