Overview

The JPC 1.0 is the carrier that made "jumpable" a category, and Crye still produces it alongside the 2.0 because the two solve different problems. The 1.0 front carrier has the mission equipment sewn in: an integrated triple mag pouch with a built-in admin pouch above it that holds pistol mags, chem lights, and maps. Put plates in it and it is ready to run with zero additional purchases, which is exactly what the flap-based JPC 2.0 is not.

Construction follows the original JPC formula. High-performance stretch material accommodates plates of different thickness, interior panels carry padded ventilation, shoulder straps are anti-slip, and the Skeletal Cummerbund mounts pouches on both its inside and outside faces. Quick-attach side loops accept add-on coverage and a groin protection attachment point sits at the base. Crye publishes honest per-size weights: 1.2 lb Small up to 1.5 lb XLarge.

The tradeoff against the JPC 2.0 is flexibility. The sewn-in pouching cannot be swapped for a Cobra Flap or a slick front, so the 1.0 is a fixed configuration where the 2.0 is a chassis. Buyers who reconfigure between low-vis and loaded setups belong on the 2.0; buyers who want one carrier that is always ready belong here. Sizing runs on the standard Crye SAPI plate table, Small through XLarge.
