Overview
The Glock 45 Gen5 MOS is Glock's black crossover service pistol: a compact G19-length slide and 4.02-inch barrel on a full-size G17-height grip. That layout gives the shooter a full 17-round firing grip while keeping the slide shorter and faster out of the holster than a G17.
The MOS version adds Glock's Modular Optic System for common red dot footprints while retaining Gen5 parts fitment. For upgrade shopping, the important split is simple: buy G19-length slide and barrel parts, but use Gen5 Glock trigger parts, full-size Glock magazines, duty pistol lights, and MOS-compatible optics. It is not a Gen6 host, so Gen6-specific barrels and trigger parts should stay out of this build path.
