Overview

The Taurus TX22 Brace Ready (TB) is the With Brace TX22 without the brace: the same new frame with a rear M1913 Picatinny rail molded in, sold bare so the owner picks the rear attachment. It measures 10 inches overall and weighs 17.30 oz unloaded, and it keeps the TX22's 4.6-inch alloy steel barrel, polymer frame, and hard-anodized aluminum slide.

The rail is the point of this model. Any 1913-mount pistol brace or folding adapter clamps to it, so a shooter who already owns a brace, or wants something other than the Strike Industries FSA Lite that ships on the With Brace model, pays for the gun alone. An ambidextrous AR-style charging handle sits at the rear of the slide, the T.O.R.O. slide is cut for RMSc-pattern optics, and the barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for rimfire cans such as the Taurus TTX22.

The box holds the same 22-round and 16-round TX22 magazines the standard pistol uses. A state-compliant 10-round Brace Ready version with a non-threaded barrel is also cataloged by Taurus. The frame is new, so confirm fitment with the maker before buying an aftermarket TX22 trigger or chassis kit for it.
