The JK 195 SGX 12GA is the most modular 12-gauge shotgun suppressor on the market. Where the SilencerCo Salvo 12 steps through four fixed lengths and the YHM VICTRA-12 offers four rod-kit configurations, the SGX builds across seven swappable baffle assemblies, configuring from 3.375 inches up to 12.2 inches with its mount installed, or 2.95 to 11.75 inches without. That granularity lets the owner sit anywhere on the sound-versus-length curve on a single stamp, and the sub-4-inch minimum is the shortest configuration in the dedicated shotgun-can field.

Construction is 7075 billet aluminum with a Type-3 hard anodize, and weight tracks length from 4.3 ounces in the shortest setup to 22.4 ounces fully extended. The can ships with JK's 195 LT taper mount, part of the brand's broader 195 modular ecosystem that shares mounts and accessories across hosts. Variable shot-pattern constriction comes from interchangeable choke end caps, so a single SGX tightens or opens its pattern without a second suppressor.

It eats the full 12-gauge diet: birdshot in both steel and lead, buckshot, and slugs, all with cup-style wads, across shell lengths from 1.75 inch mini-shells through 3.5 inch magnums. JK does not publish a dB rating for the SGX, marketing it under its Tone Technology branding rather than a metered number, so treat sound performance as unquantified by the maker. As an NFA item it requires a Form 4 transfer, fingerprints, a background check, and registration; the federal making and transfer tax on suppressors is now zero under current law, and eForm approvals are running on the order of days to a couple of weeks.
