A side charger keeps the charging handle clear of a low-mounted optic and lets a shooter cycle the action from the side without breaking a firing grip, and the SMOOTHCAM head is what makes that stroke feel slick rather than gritty.

The CP-R360 cam pin is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel hardened to H900, with a polished circular head and no moving parts to break or lock up. A single flat face on the head lets it drop into any bolt carrier without removing the gas key. The side-charge function comes from a side-charging bolt carrier fitted with Lantac's side charge handle; the SMOOTHCAM cam pin is what makes the resulting stroke feel slick rather than gritty. The matched lower pairs with the USC upper as a set built around that side-charge system.
