Heinie SlantPro Straight Eight Tritium Sight Set (1911)

The Heinie Straight Eight is the standard tritium night sight on premium custom 1911s. Wilson Combat ships them on the CQB Elite, Tactical Carry, and Sentinel; Nighthawk Custom ships them on the Predator T5, Falcon, and TRS Comp. The defining feature is the sight picture: a single tritium dot in the rear sight stacks vertically below a single tritium dot in the front blade to form a figure-8 (the "Straight Eight") when correctly aligned. Under stress and in low light, the brain recognizes a vertical line of two dots faster than the lateral alignment required by three-dot sights.

The SlantPro rear is the carry-focused profile: completely snag-free with the rear face serrated and slanted forward to eliminate glare from any light source. Steel construction throughout, no cast or MIM components, and Heinie's tritium lamps are warrantied for 12 years. The Ledge variant exists for shooters who want a one-handed slide rack feature off the rear sight; SlantPro is the default for clean concealed carry profile.
