Magpul MBUS Pro LR Adjustable Rear Sight

The MBUS Pro LR is Magpul's range-adjustable backup rear sight, built to give designated-marksman AR-15 builds a dial-for-distance iron sight option without the price premium of the KAC Micro Folding Rear. The elevation drum is calibrated 200-600m in 100m increments for 5.56 NATO out of a 14.5-16" barrel. A trained shooter can range the target, dial the elevation, hold center, and break the shot — the same workflow as a precision rifle scope, just on irons.

Construction is identical to the regular MBUS Pro: case-hardened steel with Melonite QPQ finish, tool-free windage adjustment, and a folding deployment with positive lockup. The single difference is the rotating elevation drum on the rear sight body. The drum protrudes slightly when stowed, so the LR rear is taller folded than the standard MBUS Pro rear. That's the trade-off: ranging capability costs you a little folded profile.

Pair the LR rear with a standard MBUS Pro front sight when you want a complete iron-sight setup. The LR is overkill for a CQB rifle or a 200-yard range gun. It earns its keep on a 16-18" barrel, a precision-leaning AR build, or a rifle where the irons function as a real ranging backup to a magnified optic. For shooters who want the KAC Micro Folding Rear's capability at roughly half the price, the MBUS Pro LR is the standard answer.
