Geissele
400 series stainless ambi safety with Geissele Posi-Snap detent for unmistakable tactile feedback
The Geissele Ambi Posi-Snap is the only safety selector in this category designed around its detent rather than its lever. Geissele machined the engagement geometry so the spring-loaded detent ball snaps over a deliberate ramp instead of riding into a smooth pocket. The result is a hard, audible, unmistakable click when the selector engages safe or fire. Under gloves, in low light, or with hearing protection on, the feedback survives. Most aftermarket selectors lose tactile feedback as the detent wears in; the Posi-Snap geometry is sharp enough that the click stays sharp.
The center and levers are 400 series stainless steel, nitride finished. The kit ships ambidextrous with full-length levers on both sides; lower-profile lever options are sold separately if you want a shorter weak-side throw. Throw angle is fixed at 90 degrees. There is no short-throw configuration, by design. Geissele's position is that a sharper detent matters more than a shorter throw for actual duty work, and the Posi-Snap is built for that argument.
At $42 MSRP, the Geissele is priced against the BAD-ASS Pro and the Magpul ESK rather than the premium Badger or FCD. It is the pick for shooters who prioritize detent feel over lever configurability or short-throw geometry, and for builds where the trigger and lower parts are already Geissele.
