Aero Precision's fixed low-profile gas block is the part most Aero builders actually need: a .750 set-screw block in nitride-finished 4140 steel that seals the port, fits the ATLAS handguard family, and carries Aero's lifetime warranty, at roughly half the price of Aero's adjustable block. For a standard carbine or midlength host that will never run a suppressor, paying for an adjustable block is money spent on a feature that goes unused, and the fixed block delivers the same material quality without it.
The block uses set-screw mounting and benefits from a barrel dimple for a positive lock, the standard approach for the class. Aero offers the same block in .625, .875, and .936 journals under separate SKUs, so the .750 APRH101205C is the common AR-15 size but not the only one. Nitride over 4140 handles range heat and resists carbon better than a bare or phosphate commodity block.
Pick this over Aero's adjustable block whenever tuning is not on the table and over a bare commodity block whenever the warranty and finish are worth a few extra dollars. Suppressed and short-barrel hosts still need a restricting tube or heavier buffer; the fixed block does not meter gas.
