AGM Taipan V2 15-384

The AGM Taipan V2 15-384 is a handheld thermal monocular, not a riflescope, and that is the point. It is the cheapest way to add real thermal scanning to a hunt without replacing the day optic already on the rifle. You glass a field with the Taipan, find the heat signature, then shoulder the rifle and take the shot through your normal scope. For hog and predator hunters running a proven day setup, that division of labor is cheaper and more flexible than a dedicated thermal weapon sight.

The 384x288 12um sensor with sub-20mK NETD is the same class of core found in thermal scopes costing two to three times more, and F1.0 optics pull maximum signal onto it. Detection range is rated to 750 m/yd, magnification runs 1.5-12x, and the removable 18650 plus 16GB of onboard storage and Wi-Fi let you record and share what you spot. At 0.66 lb, about 10.6 oz, it drops in a pack or chest rig, and the 90-degree tilt sensor blanks the display when you lower it to save battery.
