AGM Global Vision
White phosphor PVS-14 under $3,300. Gen 3 Level 3 auto-gated tube with a P45 white phosphor image. The cheapest entry into the white phosphor market in a real PVS-14 housing.
The AGM PVS-14 3AW3 is the cheapest white phosphor PVS-14 in production. At $3,219 it is $324 over the 3AL3 green-phosphor unit, and the only thing that delta buys is a P45 white phosphor screen instead of a P43 green one. Same Gen 3 Level 3 tube selection, same autogating, same housing, same battery, same mount compatibility.
White phosphor is the right answer for anyone who plans to run NVG for more than 30-60 minutes at a stretch. The grayscale image is easier on the dark-adapted eye, shows contrast more naturally on most terrain, and matches the image most users expect from modern military NVG (which has been white phosphor since the early 2020s). Green phosphor still has a niche — slightly better cone-cell preservation for transition back to daylight — but for civilian shooting, hunting, and security use, white phosphor is the default.
For shoppers cross-shopping the 3AW3 against the AGM 3AW1 ($4,495 PVS-14E) or Licentia L3 unfilmed white phosphor ($4,999+), the 3AW3 is the floor on white phosphor. The upgrade tiers buy tube selection (Level 1 over Level 3, unfilmed L3 tube data sheets) but not a fundamentally different image. If white phosphor matters and budget is locked at $3,500 or under, the 3AW3 is the answer.
