Budget thermal binocular with a 400x300 sensor, dual AMOLED displays, and a 1000 m laser rangefinder
The Guide TN430 is a thermal-only binocular built around a 400x300, 17-micron VOx sensor with NETD of 30 mK or better at 50 Hz. A 35mm F1.2 lens gives 2.3x optical magnification, 1-4x digital zoom, and an 11.1 x 8.33 degree field of view. Two 0.39 inch 1024x768 AMOLED displays feed each eye, with at least 16 mm eye relief, minus 6 to plus 6 diopter, and 60-70 mm interpupillary adjustment.
A built-in laser rangefinder reads to 1000 m, and the unit also carries GPS, a compass, a gyroscope, and Bluetooth. Wi-Fi streams to the TargetIR app, and picture-in-picture and hot spot tracking help pick out small targets. Two replaceable 18650 batteries run it for at least 5.5 hours, with USB-C power and a micro HDMI video output. Storage is 16 GB, the housing is IP66 rated, and it weighs no more than 860 g. Tripod mounting uses a 1/4 inch-20 thread with an L-bracket.
