FN PUREVIEW Holographic Micro Red Dot

The FN PUREVIEW is the first holographic sight built in the micro red dot form factor. Every other pistol optic on the market, from the Trijicon RMR to the Holosun 507C to the Aimpoint ACRO, projects an LED dot onto a curved or coated lens. The PUREVIEW instead uses FN's proprietary ImageGuide technology, a nanostructured flat glass waveguide that creates the 3 MOA reticle holographically. The flat glass eliminates the optical distortion of curved lenses and removes parallax shift, so the point of aim stays consistent even when the shooter's eye is off-center behind the 0.79 x 0.59 inch window.

Durability validation is unusually deep for a launch optic. FN ran the PUREVIEW past 25,000 rounds across 5.7x28mm, 9x19mm, 5.56x45mm, and 7.62x51mm hosts, plus 10+ drops from six feet with zero retained. The sealed, nitrogen-purged aluminum housing carries an IP68 rating to 35 meters of submersion, deeper than the Aimpoint ACRO P-2's rating, with a hydrophobic coating on the glass. Power comes from a common top-loading CR2032, rated at 800 hours continuous or roughly a year of intermittent use with the battery-saving motion sensor, and the top-load design means battery changes never disturb zero. Fourteen brightness settings split into 8 standard, 3 night-vision, and 3 ultra-bright levels, with an ambient sensor for auto-adjust.

The catch is mounting. The PUREVIEW uses a proprietary interface, a modified DeltaPoint Pro pattern with the rear recoil lugs deleted, so it mounts natively on the FN 509 Tactical, 510, 545, and Five-seveN but does not drop onto standard DPP-cut slides. FN is working with aftermarket plate makers on adapters for other brands, none confirmed yet. At $749 MSRP it prices head-to-head with the Aimpoint ACRO P-2; the black version releases summer 2026 with FDE following by end of year.
