Overview
The Gideon Optics Rock is an open-emitter RMR pistol dot sized for carry use. Its 22mm-wide by 15.5mm-tall window is smaller than the Omega's, while the reticle menu stays broad: a red or green 3 MOA dot, or a red or green 45 MOA circle with a 3 MOA center dot. The RMR-pattern base mounts to compatible slides and plates, and Gideon includes a low-profile 1913 adapter.
A top-loading CR1632 battery is rated for up to 50,000 hours and can be changed without removing the sight. Ten brightness levels include two night-vision settings, and shake-to-awake returns the reticle after the optic enters low-power mode at 225 seconds. The 7075-T6 aluminum housing is IPX7 rated and weighs 1.5 oz.
