Overview

The Osight C is the value-priced open-emitter pistol red dot in Osight's RMR-footprint line. It uses CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum and a 0.95 x 0.75 inch window, slightly smaller than the Osight X but still wider than a standard Trijicon RMR. The reticle stack matches the X: a switchable 3 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or both, with eight daylight and two night-vision brightness settings.

Power is conventional and shooter-friendly. A side-loading CR1632 tray lets you swap the cell from the side of the housing without pulling the optic off the slide, preserving zero. Osight rates 100,000 hours on the dot-only setting and 30,000 hours on the circle dot, both above the Holosun 507C X2's 50,000-hour figure. Motion-activated illumination puts the dot on instantly when the pistol moves and dwells off after a period of stillness.

Construction is IPX6 sealed, one step below IPX7 but adequate for typical carry and range exposure. Adjustments are 1 MOA per click with a 90 MOA total range in both axes. Footprint is Trijicon RMR, fitting most full-size and compact MOS slides. At $179.99 the C undercuts the Holosun 507C X2 ($359 X2, $309 SCS) by roughly $130 to $180 while matching the dot-plus-circle format and offering a side-load tray that 507C does not.

  • Trijicon RMR footprint fits full-size and compact MOS slides
  • 0.95 x 0.75 inch window with anti-reflective coatings
  • CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum housing
  • 1 MOA click adjustments, 90 MOA total range
  • IPX6 waterproof rating

Pros

  • +Side-load tray on RMR footprint, unusual at this price
  • +100,000-hour runtime exceeds the 507C X2
  • +MRS reticle covers precision and speed
  • +$130-180 below comparable Holosun 507C variants
  • +Motion activation with dwell-off

Cons

  • IPX6 sealing trails IPX7 competitors
