Overview
The Knight's Armament SR-15 KS-1 is the current production refinement of KAC's SR-15 line, replacing the legacy E3 Mod 2 carbines. The 13.7" cold hammer forged barrel sits a hair under the 14.5" service length, splitting the difference between handling and velocity while staying short enough to wield indoors. With a QDC-compatible flash hider pinned or unpinned, it runs as a short-barreled rifle or a 16" pin-and-weld build depending on configuration.
The KS-series carries forward the self-indexing Mod 2 gas system and the E3.2 bolt with dual ejectors, a combination KAC tuned specifically for reliable suppressed and unsuppressed cycling across temperature extremes. The URX6 handguard adds a full-length 12 o'clock 1913 rail over seven sides of M-LOK, and the integral trigger guard and ambidextrous controls round out a rifle built to be run hard.
