Overview

The Knight's Armament SR-15 KS-2 carries the 14.5" service length that the U.S. military standardized on, wringing the most 5.56 velocity out of the platform without crossing into rifle-length awkwardness. Pinned and welded to a 16" overall barrel it becomes a non-NFA carbine; left at 14.5" it is a short-barreled rifle. Either way it is the KS-series configuration most shooters reach for as a do-everything fighting carbine.

Like the rest of the KS line it runs the E3.2 dual-ejector bolt and the self-indexing Mod 2 gas system, KAC's answer to reliable cycling whether the rifle is suppressed, cold, or filthy. The 12.75" URX6 handguard gives a long sight radius and plenty of real estate for lights and lasers, and the drop-in two-stage match trigger breaks clean for precise shot placement at distance.
