Overview
The LMT MARS-L SPECWAR is the 12.5-inch mid-length configuration of LMT's monolithic MRP-L platform. The upper receiver and 11.5-inch M-LOK rail are machined from a single aluminum forging, so there is no separate handguard, no barrel nut to work loose, and no rail-to-receiver joint between a mounted laser and the bore. The barrel locks into the monolithic upper with two bolts that engage the extension a full 360 degrees, and LMT's quick-change system returns the same barrel to zero.
The 12.5-inch chrome-lined 1:7 SPECWAR barrel pairs a mid-length gas system with the short barrel, shortening dwell time for a soft, consistent impulse suppressed or unsuppressed. The MARS-L lower is fully ambidextrous (bolt catch and release, magazine release, safety), the AXLE two-stage trigger is LMT's match-grade unit, and the SOPMOD stock and A2 flash hider round out the factory configuration. Sold as a factory SBR on a Form 4.
