Overview

The LWRC IC MKII is the current generation of the Individual Carbine line, the same piston platform LWRC originally developed for the U.S. Army Individual Carbine trials. The MKII is a clean redesign of the IC-A5: the Monoforge one-piece upper now carries a full-length M-LOK rail directly machined into the receiver (the IC-A5 used a stubbier integrated SPR rail base that a longer rail bolted onto), and the two-position paddle-style gas block has moved inside the handguard so you can switch between suppressed and unsuppressed settings by feel without opening the rail. The piston system itself, the NiCorr-treated cold hammer-forged spiral-fluted barrel, and the nickel-boron coated bolt carrier all carry over from the IC-A5. Controls are fully ambidextrous, the rifle ships with LWRC's Skirmish folding BUIS, an ambi charging handle, the LWRC Compact stock, and an Ultra Combat grip. Available in 10.5, 12.7, 14.7, and 16.1 inch barrel lengths; this entry is the 16.1" rifle (no NFA paperwork). Cerakote color options (Tungsten Gray, Flat Dark Earth, Patriot Brown, OD Green) add $165 to the $2,865 base MSRP.
