Overview

The LWRC REPR MKII is the piston-driven outlier in a field of direct-impingement .308 rifles. Its self-regulating short-stroke gas piston keeps the action cleaner and cooler than DI guns, which is a real advantage when running suppressed or shooting long strings. A 20-position adjustable gas block lets you tune for ammo and suppressor combinations.

The 16.1-inch barrel is cold hammer forged, spiral fluted, and NiCorr treated, threaded 5/8x24. The rifle comes with a Geissele SSA-E two-stage trigger and a fully ambidextrous forged lower: mag release, bolt catch and release, and selector all run from both sides. It ships with an adjustable buttstock and ergonomic grip; exact furniture varies by configuration.

The cost is weight and price. At roughly 9 pounds before optics it is heavier than the lighter DI .308s in this guide, and it sits at the top of the price tier. Buy it when you want a suppressor-host .308 that runs clean and ambidextrous out of the box and you value piston reliability over the lighter weight of a DI build.
