Springfield Armory Kuna Tri-Lug 9mm

The Springfield Armory Kuna Tri-Lug keeps the standard Kuna's roller-delayed action, monolithic aluminum upper, polymer lower, controls, sights, and proprietary magazine system. The muzzle is the important change. Springfield machines three lugs into the 6-inch barrel instead of cutting the 1/2x28 threads found on the standard Kuna.

The integral HK-pattern three-lug interface lets a compatible suppressor mount lock directly to the barrel with a push-and-twist connection. There is no thread-on three-lug adapter between the barrel and the suppressor. That shortens the mounting stack and removes one threaded joint, but it also means ordinary 1/2x28 brakes, compensators, and direct-thread suppressor mounts do not fit this variant.

Springfield offers the Tri-Lug as a base pistol with a Picatinny receiver end plate and as an FSA-braced pistol. Both configurations also have 10-round versions. All other Kuna-specific upgrades carry over, including the factory magazine, trigger, buffer, controls, brace, handguard, and aftermarket lower paths.
