Partisan Triggers
Ambidextrous-safety version of the Disruptor FRT for left-handed and switch-shoulder shooters
The Partisan Triggers Disruptor Ambi is the ambidextrous-safety version of the standard Disruptor forced reset trigger, now sold under the partner-listed brand "The Triggered Company". The cassette internals are unchanged from the original Disruptor: the bolt carrier's rearward stroke pushes a reset lever that mechanically forces the trigger forward into full reset, locking the trigger until the bolt returns to battery. Legal status and the underlying FRT patent landscape continue to shift, so buyers should verify current federal, state, and local rules before purchase.
The functional upgrade over the non-ambi version is the safety selector. Where the standard Disruptor ships with a single-side oversized lever that has drawn criticism for being less positive than a milspec selector, the Ambi version exposes a selector lever on both sides of the lower. That matters for left-handed shooters, for shooters who switch shoulders around barricades, and for anyone running a vertical-grip or thumb-over-bore grip where a single-side selector forces a hand break to disengage safe. The three positions remain the same: Safe, Semi-Automatic, and Enhanced Semi-Automatic (forced reset).
Construction is tool steel and 4140 chromoly on wear surfaces, drop-in cassette format, with anti-walk pins included. Listed pull weight is 3.7-4.1 lbs. Buffer requirements are identical to the standard Disruptor: H2 minimum and H3 commonly recommended for carbine setups with 16" or shorter barrels, standard rifle buffer for 20" A2 rifle-buffer systems. If you already run the non-ambi Disruptor and the only thing missing is a left-side selector lever, this is the variant to buy; if you have not yet bought either, pay the $25 premium up front rather than rebuying the cassette later.
