The Triggered Company LAT FRT

The Triggered Company LAT is a service rifle match grade, 3-position AR-15 assisted reset trigger. A refinement of the Disruptor, the LAT delivers a greatly improved pull in standard semi-automatic mode while preserving the enhanced semi-automatic function in the third position.

The key difference between the LAT and the Disruptor is how the selector controls the trigger's internal reset system. The Disruptor is a simplification of the original TacCon 3MR, combining the reset lever and main trigger piece into one while adding an out-of-battery safety. Easier to manufacture, cheaper for the customer, and includes that key safety device. The LAT spares no expense and retains the reset lever in all its glory, an improved and better looking 3MR, while also adding the same out-of-battery safety device that traces its roots back to Browning's 1900 patent (US659507).

With the reset lever in standard semi-automatic mode, the LAT's assisted reset function and out-of-battery safety function are completely disabled by the selector. This allows the LAT to deliver a crisp, single-stage trigger feel during the break, with no assisted reset function active in standard semi-automatic operation.

In the third ARSE (Assisted Reset Semi Enhanced) position, the LAT activates the assisted reset function and out-of-battery safety function to achieve the same enhanced semi-automatic performance as the Disruptor. Pull it tightly and get a measurably reduced-weight assisted reset. Pull it gingerly and let it run.

The LAT uses 17-4 stainless steel and 4140 chromoly on all wear surfaces. It is tested beyond 6,000 rounds under a course of fire derived from the USMC M27 IAR evaluation criteria. Buffer requirements match the Disruptor: H2 minimum with H3 recommended for 16" and shorter barrels, standard rifle buffer for 20" A2 stocks. Anti-walk pins are required and included; CLAP pins are preferred. The LAT is compatible with most AR-15 lowers and uses mil-spec pin size. Named after Larry Alan Thorne, a Hall of Fame badass who fought commies for three governments and was KIA in Vietnam while serving in US Special Forces.
