P320 X-Carry optic footprint: what red dots fit
The P320 X-Carry mounts a red dot on a dedicated slide cut, not a plate system. SIG describes the X-Series slide as optic ready and compatible with the ROMEO1PRO and the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, and says the rear sight plate assembly allows direct mounting of the ROMEO1PRO as well as the PRO RX footprint. One pocket, one screw pattern, and the optic bolts to the steel. That makes the DeltaPoint Pro, the ROMEO1PRO, and the wider set of DeltaPoint Pro pattern dots direct fits. Enclosed and micro footprints that do not share the locating geometry, Aimpoint ACRO, Holosun 509T, Holosun EPS, and the Shield RMSc and Holosun K family, sit outside what the factory cut accepts.
The rear sight is the trap on this one. SIG lists the X-Carry sights as an XRAY3 front night sight and a night sight rear plate, meaning the rear sight is part of the removable optic cover plate rather than a slide dovetail. Mount a dot and the rear iron sight leaves with the plate. Anyone who wants irons behind the dot should buy a suppressor-height rear sized to the specific optic at the same time as the optic, because the factory rear does not come back.

Taking that plate off to mount an optic takes the rear sight with it. Shooters who want a rear reference behind the dot fit a suppressor-height rear sight sized to the optic they are installing.
What does PRO RX footprint mean on a SIG slide?
It is SIG's name for the optic cut on its current pistols, and SIG lists the X-Carry as taking the ROMEO1PRO optic and the PRO RX footprint directly on the slide. SIG also notes that its own ROMEO1PRO fits all SIG SAUER pistols with the PRO RX footprint but will not fit every DeltaPoint Pro cut in the industry, because recoil boss dimensions vary between makers.
