The SIG P365 X-Macro is cut for the Shield RMSc footprint, which SIG lists as its Compact footprint, and it takes that optic directly on the slide. No plate sits between the dot and the steel, so an RMSc-pattern optic mounts at the lowest height the pistol allows. That covers most micro-compact dots, including the enclosed carry optics built on the RMSc base, and the 17-round grip gives you a gun that shoots like a duty pistol under a carry-size optic. The Trijicon RMRcc is the exception with a real path here: it mounts on the Maple Leaf P365 RMRcc adapter plate.
X-Macro covers more than one pistol. SIG sells the standard X-Macro on a 3.7-inch barrel and the X-Macro Comp, whose 3.1-inch barrel feeds an integral compensator, and it lists the Compact (Shield RMSc) footprint on the Comp SKUs as well. The comp changes recoil and holster fit, not the optic decision. The Comp SKUs carrying RXSL in the part number are a separate case: they arrive with a ROMEO-X Compact SIG-LOC already installed instead of an empty pocket under a cover.
These optics carry the Shield RMSc footprint the slide is cut for. Screws, recoil bosses, and pocket all line up, so they seat on the slide with no plate.

Not bare. The X-Macro carries the Shield RMSc cut, which stands four recoil lugs in the pocket, while a Holosun K-pattern base has two lug pockets, leaving two lugs unsupported. Use the adapter hardware Holosun includes with its K-series optics, or accept that filing the extra lugs off is a permanent change to the slide. An RMSc-footprint dot mounts with neither.
