Taurus TTX Suppressors: Rimfire, 9mm PCC, and .30 Cal

Taurus entered the suppressor market on September 18, 2026 with the TTX series: the TTX22 rimfire can, the TTX9C 9mm PCC can, and the TTX30 .30-caliber rifle can. These are the company's first silencers. Every tube is a 3D sintered titanium monocore with a Cerakote C-Series finish.

Buy the TTX22 if the host is a TX22, a 10/22, or another 1/2x28 rimfire gun. Buy the TTX9C if the host is a fixed-barrel 9mm PCC or PDW, including the Taurus RPC. Buy the TTX30 if the host is a 5/8x24 .30-caliber rifle from .300 BLK through .300 Win Mag. The three SKUs do not share a mount, so pick the can that matches the barrel you already own.

Sintering is how Taurus prints the core as one piece instead of stacking baffles. The printed gas path is the product. Rifle, PCC, and rimfire TTX models clean without coming apart. That is a maintenance choice, not a convenience slogan: you dunk the can instead of brushing a baffle stack.

The TTX22 is the rimfire can, and it is the one to buy for a Taurus TX22. It measures 5.5 inches, 1 inch in diameter, and 3.71 ounces. The mount is 1/2x28 direct thread. Taurus rates it for .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, and 5.7x28, lists it full-auto rated, and prices it at $299.99 MAP.

That weight is the reason to pick it. A steel rimfire can turns a polymer .22 pistol into a front-heavy plinker. 3.71 ounces of titanium does not. Athlon hung it on a Ruger 22/45 Lite and a custom 10/22; the pistol still pointed like a pistol. Subsonic 40-grain .22 LR got quiet enough that the action was louder than the shot. Faster ammo stayed louder, which is physics, not a defect.

The catch is cleaning. The TTX22 does not unscrew. Taurus tells owners to dunk it in a warm water and cleaner mix, rinse, and dry. That puts it in the same sealed-core bucket as the HUXWRX Flow 22 Ti in our best .22 LR suppressors guide, with a different internal layout. If you want a monocore you pull and brush, this is the wrong can. If you want a 3.71 oz titanium tube that stays together, it is the Taurus answer.

The TTX9C is the 9mm can, and it is built for a fixed-barrel host. It measures 7 inches, 1.5 inches in diameter, and 11.5 ounces. The mount is 1/2x28 direct thread. MAP is $599.99. Taurus wrote it for PDWs, pistol-caliber carbines, and other fixed-barrel platforms, including the Taurus RPC.

That rigid spec is the buying rule. The TTX9C has no Nielsen device. A tilting-barrel 9mm pistol will not cycle it. A blowback PCC such as the RPC will, because the barrel does not unlock. The RPC already uses 1/2x28, so the can threads on with no extra mount. Athlon lists extra ratings for .380 ACP, .32 ACP, and .22 LR on the same tube. Treat those as Taurus caliber ratings on a 9mm bore, not as a reason to skip the TTX22 on a dedicated rimfire host. The TTX22 is shorter, lighter, and cheaper for .22 LR.

The TTX30 is the rifle can. It measures 7.5 inches, 1.75 inches in diameter, and 14.31 ounces. The mount is 5/8x24 direct thread. MAP is $599.99.Taurus rates it from .300 Blackout to .300 Winchester Magnum. Athlon also lists .308 Winchester, 7.62x39, and 6.5 Creedmoor.

14.31 ounces of sintered titanium is the reason this SKU exists at this price. A .300 Win Mag-class can that stays under a pound keeps a hunting rifle from going muzzle-heavy, and the same tube covers a .300 BLK AR on 5/8x24. Use the rifle builder to match thread pitch to a host you already own. The TTX30 is the TTX can for a 5/8x24 .30-caliber muzzle. It is not a 5.56 can, and it is not a 1/2x28 can.

All three TTX cans share one construction story. Taurus sinters the titanium core as a single printed piece, coats it in Cerakote C-Series, and tells owners of the rifle, PCC, and rimfire models to clean without taking the can apart. The texture on the tube is the print, not a sleeve.

Taurus lists sound reduction of up to 30 dB across the lineup. Athlon repeats that figure. No PEW Science rating, and no other independent meter work, has been published for any TTX SKU. Treat 30 dB as a manufacturer claim. Full-auto ratings follow the same pattern: the TTX22 listing is full-auto rated, Athlon reports the same listing on all three, and Outdoor Wire qualifies it as applying where applicable. Taurus has not published a firing schedule.

A TTX can is still a suppressor. The federal making and transfer tax has been $0 since January 1, 2026, but that changed the tax, not the item. For most buyers the path is still a Form 4, fingerprints, a NICS check, and NFA registration through a dealer. Suppressors are legal to own in 42 states. For applications finalized in July 2026, ATF reported average processing times of 9 days for individual eForm 4 and 33 days for trust eForm 4. Individual waits can be longer.

The one exception is narrow and party-specific. The August 2026 injunction in Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF lets covered buyers take a suppressor home on a 4473 and NICS check alone, with no Form 4. Coverage is limited to the plaintiffs, members of the six plaintiff organizations, and customers of the plaintiff companies. Everyone outside that scope still files.
