BCM's cold hammer forged 11.5" Government-profile carbine-gas barrel. The proven CQB length for SBR and pistol 5.56 builds.
The BCM BFH 11.5" Carbine is the short-barrel 5.56 that built the modern SBR and pistol-AR template. Cold hammer forged from MIL-B-11595E CMV steel, chrome lined in bore and chamber, and HP proof tested with MPI inspection, it carries the same construction as BCM's longer duty barrels in a CQB length.
Carbine gas at 11.5" is correctly tuned rather than over-gassed: the gas port and dwell time are matched to the length, so the rifle runs reliably across common ammunition without the harsh impulse of an undersized system. The .750" gas journal takes a standard low-profile block and the muzzle is 1/2x28 for any 5.56 device or suppressor mount.
This is an NFA-length barrel. It belongs on a registered short-barreled rifle or a pistol lower. Builders cross-shopping the Daniel Defense 10.3" Government CHF should weigh length and intended use: the 11.5" gives a bit more velocity and dwell, the 10.3" is the clone-correct CQBR length. When the BFH is out of stock, BCM's button-rifled Standard 11.5" carbine is the lower-cost substitute.
Add the BCM BFH 11.5" Carbine 5.56 Barrel to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
