Haley Strategic
12.6 oz of MIL-SPEC 500D nylon carries four rifle mags plus four utility pouches for pistol mags, lights, or multitools. The lightest 4-mag premium rig and the spiritual successor to the original D3CR.
The Haley Strategic D3CRX — the X Chest Rig — is the lightweight replacement for the original D3CR and currently sits at the sweet spot of the premium fixed-front chest rig market. At 12.6 oz without a harness, it is one of the lightest 4-mag rigs in the category that still uses traditional fabric construction (only the ULTRAcomp-laminate Blue Force Gear RACKminus beats it on weight, at the cost of magazine retention behavior).
The layout is four MIL-SPEC 500D nylon rifle magazine pouches sized for 5.56x45, 5.45x39, and 7.62x35 (300 BLK), with shock cord retention. Four utility pouches sit between and around the rifle pouches for pistol magazines, multitools, or small lights. Two admin pouches with hook-and-loop covers handle small loose items. The rear is a full VELCRO field for plate-carrier integration.
The Heavy Chest Rig (D3CRH) is the same design language with .308/7.62x51 pouch geometry. The Micro Chest Rig (D3CRM) is the smaller pistol-magazine-focused version. All three share the X-Harness and H-Harness accessory line, sold separately at $50 each.
Haley Strategic publishes the D3CRX at $180 starting price on the manufacturer site. OpticsPlanet stocks the Coyote variant under AWIN affiliate routing. The original D3CR is discontinued; do not buy used-market D3CRs unless the price is dramatically lower than current production.
