EOTech OGL

The EOTech OGL (On-Gun Laser) represents EOTech's entry into the professional-grade laser/illuminator market, designed with a focus on human performance factors under extreme stress. The Standard Power version is restricted to military and law enforcement use, featuring full-power IR capabilities that exceed civilian eye-safe limits. EOTech announced a civilian-legal OGL-C variant in January 2026 with eye-safe visible and IR lasers at a lower price point ($2,999).

The OGL Standard Power combines a 515nm green visible laser (0.5mW on high), 850nm IR laser (0.7mW on high), and a high-performance VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) IR illuminator. The VCSEL technology delivers a clean, speckle-free beam with the unique ability to quickly adjust from approximately 30 MRAD spot to 105 MRAD flood using an ergonomic, patent-pending lever. This instant adjustment capability allows professionals to optimize illumination for varying distances without taking their focus off the target.

Powered by a single CR123 lithium battery providing up to 9 hours of continuous runtime, the OGL achieves impressive endurance in a compact package roughly the size of a standard deck of playing cards (4.1" × 2.3"). The machined aluminum housing provides extreme durability, and the unit is available in Tan, Black, or Grey finishes to match different rifle configurations. While the Standard Power version remains restricted to MIL/LE users, the newly announced OGL-C brings EOTech's design philosophy and VCSEL technology to the civilian market.
