Overview
The KDG SIDELOK ACOG mount replaces a conventional thumbscrew base with a push-button quick-detach Picatinny interface. KDG states that the mount maintains zero when reinstalled in the same rail position, and the SIDELOK secondary safety prevents the release control from opening unintentionally.
The optic can bolt into either of two positions. The forward position places the ACOG flush with the front of the mount in a layout similar to a taller Trijicon TA51. The rearward position adds cantilever and creates clearance for most folded backup sights while moving the short-eye-relief ACOG closer to the shooter. KDG lists every Trijicon ACOG except the 6x48 as compatible. The 4.02-ounce mount is black anodized and uses the primarily 6061-aluminum construction KDG specifies for the SIDELOK family.
