Overview
The Simmons Pro Rimfire 3-9x32, model SPR3932, is a dedicated rimfire scope with a traditional variable-power range. The 3x low end provides a wider view for closer targets, while 9x gives more aiming detail from a supported position. The scope pairs that magnification range with a 32mm objective.
Parallax is fixed at 50 yards, and the reticle sits in the second focal plane. Capped, finger-adjustable turrets protect the zero between range trips and provide 70 MOA of elevation adjustment plus 70 MOA of windage adjustment. The fixed parallax keeps setup simple, but it cannot be tuned for very close targets or changing precision-stage distances.
The scope uses a one-piece aluminum 1-inch tube. Simmons rates it IPX7 waterproof as well as fogproof and shockproof. Fully coated lenses receive the company's EXO Barrier treatment. The package includes 1-inch Weaver-style four-hole aluminum rings, bikini-style covers, and a cleaning cloth. A dovetail-only rimfire receiver still needs a compatible Weaver or Picatinny base, or a different set of rings.
