The Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x is a compact prism scope built around an etched AR-BDC4 reticle that remains visible with the illumination off. Because the aiming mark is chemically etched into glass rather than projected as one LED point, it avoids the point-source starburst that drives many shooters away from a red dot.
At 9.3 oz and 3 inches long, the Spitfire HD Gen II sits in the same compact-prism class as the Primary Arms SLx 3x MicroPrism. The redesigned HD optical system delivers edge-to-edge clarity, and the 21mm objective keeps the package small enough for patrol carbines, truck guns, and lightweight defensive builds where a full LPVO is overkill. The AR-BDC4 reticle is calibrated for 5.56 with holdovers and ranging brackets out to several hundred yards.
The CR2032 battery drives 10 daylight-bright brightness settings, and a 14-hour auto-shutoff prevents a dead battery from a forgotten optic. Vortex backs the Spitfire with the unconditional, transferable VIP warranty, which covers the optic for life regardless of fault or owner.
